“We’re excited to continue to work together in new ways to reduce friction for consumers and increase conversion for our organizers. “Because events are inherently social, Facebook has been an important partner to Eventbrite since the early days,” Eventbrite vp of product Laurent Sellier told Macworld. We empower event organisers with industry-leading tools and technology to create, manage, and promote unforgettable live experiences around the world. Facebook will talk more about these pilot integrations during its F8 developers conference this week. Eventbrite is a global event ticketing and marketing platform, powering millions of events in nearly 180 countries. Once its confirmed, ticket-buyers will be able to use Facebook to access their digital tickets with a QR code. Whether it’s a neighborhood block party or a sold-out concert in a stadium, Eventbrite makes it happen. If an event’s official Facebook page is linked to an Eventbrite ticket portal, the “Buy Tickets” link will initiate the purchase on Eventbrite without leaving the FB app. Eventbrite enables anyone to create, promote, and sell tickets to any event imaginable, while also helping people discover and share events that match their passions. Update: Eventbrite will also be integrating directly to sell tickets on Facebook. Ticketmaster said that convenience fees for customers who choose to purchase tickets on Facebook will remain the same. Even though ticket sales will technically be processed on Facebook, ticket buyers will still have to claim their purchase on the Ticketmaster website. In the beginning stages, this Ticketmaster integration will only be enabled for a select number of Facebook events with general admission. As is typical with these referral partnerships, Ticketmaster confirmed that Facebook will be receiving the standard affiliate cut for each ticket sale made via the social platform.
